What is Juvederm?
JUVÉDERM® XC is the smooth gel filler that your doctor uses to instantly smooth away wrinkles around your mouth and nose. With just one treatment, you’ll get smooth and natural-looking results that last up to a year.

JUVÉDERM® XC is manufactured using HYLACROSS technology, creating a smooth-consistency gel. It is infused with lidocaine to improve comfort during treatment. With JUVÉDERM® XC you get the smooth results you expect, with the improved comfort you want.Ω.

Everyone will notice, but no one will know.

Where does Juvederm work?
Juvederm works best to smooth lines around the eyes, nose, and mouth.

Is Juvederm safe?
Hyalauronic acid is naturally found in our bodies, so Juvederm is usually well tolerated and there is low risk of allergic reaction.

Juvederm is a simple procedure. With input from the patient, Dr. Romero will mark areas to be treated. Using local anesthesia, he will then inject Juvederm, being careful not to overfill the area and leave an unnatural look.

What sizes and types of Juvederm are used at Romero Clinic?
We use JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus XC and JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC. Each syringe is 1.0 ml.

How much does Juvederm cost?
At Romero Clinic, we only charge $550 per syringe of Juvederm- that's up to $300 less than other doctors!

Are there any side-effects?
JUVÉDERM® XC injectable gel is generally well tolerated. Most side effects are mild to moderate in nature and their duration is short lasting (7 days or less). The most common side effects include, but are not limited to, temporary injection site reactions such as redness, pain/tenderness, firmness, swelling, lumps/bumps, bruising, itching, and discoloration. As with all skin injection procedures, there is a risk of infection.

Hyaluronic acid fillers are generally biocompatible, which means allergy skin testing is not required prior to treatment.

How painful is the procedure?
Juvederm has lidocaine in it, which helps alleviate any discomfort. At Romero Clinic, we also apply a topical anesthetic cream to help numb the area prior to injection.

What can I expect after the procedure?
Many of our patients go back to work after the procedure. It is best to rest, though, if possible. You may have mild swelling and bruising for up to three days. When you go to bed, sleep with a 30-degree angle and avoid sleeping on one side to avoid disturbing the placement of the filler. You may take Tylenol for pain but not aspirin or ibuprofen which may increase bruising.
